Medicinal Chemistry

Another area in which we apply compounds made from our organocatalysis pursuits, is within the realms of medicinal chemistry. Our work has led to a range of non-natural amino acids, nucleic acids, alkaloids and steroids, as well as a number of TLR-7 binding compounds. We have collaborations with Dr Ed Mann, an Oxford neuroscientist, Dr Ben Neuman, a virologist at Texas A&M University, and various industrial drug discovery companies to assess the activity of our compounds.
