We are a synthetic organic chemistry group in London with a focus on two main areas of research. The first is the synthesis of novel foldamers and their application towards the fields of catalysis, medicinal chemistry and bioengineering. The second is the development of novel asymmetric catalytic methodology. We have been funded by multiple agencies including UKRI, various industries and Cancer Research UK.
FoldNet UK
FoldNetUK is a UKRI funded network to bring foldamer scientists with in the UK together whilst also facilitating collaborations with scientists outside of it. This collaboration between King's (Andre), Sarah Pike (Birmingham), Scott Cockroft (Edinburgh) and Steven Cobb (Durham, no relation) has been existence since 2025 and funds Pilot Research Projects (to seed collaboration), Focus Workshops (on specific topics), Travel Bursaries (mainly for Early Career Researchers), Outreach activities and Summer Placements.
