At the heart of our research is the pursuit of new asymmetric processes that give access to novel frameworks with applications in one of our three other areas displayed here.
We aim to incorporate our monomers into synthetic peptides with secondary structure and utilise these towards various applications, from drug delivery through to catalysis.
Our methodology has been used in the development of a variety of biological probes, from nucleoside substrates and cannabinoid probes, through to fluorescent dyes.
We have been involved in the development of potential therapeutics ranging from cannabinoids for the treatment of epilepsy through to nucleosides aimed at coronaviruses such as SARS-CoV-2.
